DOJLaw‘s goal is to achieve favorable results for its clients in a cost-effective and timely manner. The firm is guided by ethical principles set forth in the legal profession’s Codes of Professional Responsibility and the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters Society’s Code of Professional Ethics. Accordingly, DOJLaw vigorously advocates for its clients and, at the same time, seeks equitable, rather than heavy-handed, results.
Remaining faithful to these ethical codes, in every matter, DOJLaw:
- Thoroughly discusses the client’s problem and the relevant facts with the client;
- Estimates the anticipated cost of legal services, and, when possible, offers flexible fee arrangements;
- If retained, analyzes the client’s legal position, determines what the potential outcomes of the matter could be given the applicable law and relevant facts, and communicates the results of the analysis to the client in a timely manner;
- Keeps the client informed about significant events, and reaches agreement with the client about the strategy to employ;
- Prepares to advocate the client’s position vigorously with opposing counsel and, if necessary, in court; and
- If litigation is necessary, streamlines the litigation by: (1) meeting all court deadlines; (2) preventing the opposing party from unduly delaying resolution of the matter; (3) taking steps to minimize the cost and inconvenience of discovery, whether the discovery involves answering or obtaining answers to interrogatories, producing or obtaining paper and electronic documents, preparing witnesses for depositions or taking depositions, or obtaining physical examinations of property or individuals; and (4) seeking early trial dates.
